So what volume treatments does Kota Cosmetics provide? How much does it cost? First things first - As of 2024, the TGA does not allow clinics to advertise cosmetic injection procedures that use prescription medicines, including dermal filler. VOLUME LOSS: PRE-TREATMENT
Avoid taking blood thinners (such as aspirin), fish oil or other anti-inflammatories (including ibuprofen and Voltaren) and Vitamin E for one week prior to treatment as it can increase risk of bleeding and bruising.
Avoid alcohol 24 hours prior treatment as it will increase your risk of bleeding and bruising.
Avoid waxing, bleaching, tweezing, laser or any hair removal cream on the treated area.
If you have an event coming up, you may want to book in your treatment at least two weeks in advance as you may experience swelling and/or bruising.
If you’ve a history of cold sores, you can take your anti-viral medication prior to treatment to prevent breakout.
Avoid sun exposure 24 hours prior treatment.
You can eat a small meal or snack and drink plenty of water before your treatment.
VOLUME LOSS: POST-TREATMENT
You can use ice or cold compresses to reduce swelling and/or bruising. Ensure you are using clean compresses.
Avoid blood-thinning medications, alcohol and smoking for 48 hours, or as instructed by your injector, as they may increase the risk of bleeding and bruising.
Avoid strenuous exercise, heat and tanning for at least 24 hours after treatment, as it can increase risk of inflammation, infection and/or swelling.
No makeup for 24 hours on the treated area to avoid the risk of infection.
Avoid domestic or international flights for four days following treatment.
No vaccinations for two weeks before and after treatment.
Stay hydrated and moisturise your skin.
If you’ve a history with cold sores, you can take your anti-viral medication to prevent breakouts.
Only massage lip filler following treatment as directed by your injector.
Attend your review appointment and follow up with your injector if you have any concerns.
